A Visit to Italy
It is a very special place to visit Italy's capital, Italy. The population of Rome is over 2 million people. The people there are very kind and I am very proud of their country. Rome is a beautiful lively city with a mild climate. The temperature is usually kept at about 80 degrees. The main means of transportation is bus. The sidewalk cafe is very popular in Rome. The cafe is always crowded with happy Italians and some curious tourists.
Bolzano, Italy is very close to Innsbruck, just a 2 hour drive from the hotel. So I started thinking about a quick visit to northern Italy. When I began talking to Daria about this, she abandoned the idea of visiting Italy in Venice. When I saw the map, I noticed that it was about 5 hours, which is not too far from Vienna. From there we are gathering together, and that's how we plan to eventually become our itinerary.
Last year, my boyfriend Keith and I went to Italy I loved. As a granddaughter of Italian citizenship, I am fortunate to have been able to visit Italy many times during my childhood. But this was my first time traveling abroad for a while, Keith came to Italy for the first time. In total, we spent ten days exploring Venice, Pordenone (where my grandparents live), Rome, and Cinque Terre. This is an incredible trip, a trip we consider well.
The steep Ligurian coastline in Italy is a dream come true. Therefore, while traveling to Italy, we decided to visit Cinque Terre. In 1997, five fishing villages were registered as UNESCO World Heritage sites along a dramatic landscape and coastline. These villages, Cinque Terre is Riomaggiore, Manarola, Cornelia, Vernazza, Monterosso Mare. They look like their pictures: colorful, tasteful and wonderful! There are plenty of hiking and trails. My Indian brother, warning - it will be hot. We went in early June and still baked.
We arrived in Italy via Milan and visited friends in the city. There is a ticket for a train from Cinque Terre to Cornillia. On the night before we got on the train, we found a strike (I learned this strike later in Italy) and most trains were not running. Fortunately, we discovered this before we got to the station and it stranded that day, so we were able to get on the train which was running earlier in commuting time. Cinque Terre stands for "five lands" and is located in the Liguria region on the west coast of Italy. Cinque Terre is made up of 5 villages as its name; from north to south, they are as follows. This area is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is known for its colorful houses built in a steep cliff surrounded by mountains and vineyards with terraces.
